Analysis by Grid or Zone

The image shows the grid and zone setup for an Open Field experiment. A grid resolution of 10x10 has been chosen, and the user has selected a set of 3 concentric zones. Zones are set up simply by clicking on the grid squares that are to belong to each zone.

When a paremeter (for example, distance) is chosen for export, a 3-by-N spreadsheet will be created, where N is the number of animals, and 3 is the number of zones. The spreadsheet below, for example, shows the distance travelled within each zone by each animal in the data set.

Note that the 16 animals have been divided into two groups, so that mean, std and sem are automatically calculated for each Zone within each group.

Once the calculations are complete, LimeLight opens Excel and display the newly created spreadsheet automatically.
