Specifying Protocols in FreezeFrame

Up to 20 different protocols can be set up in advance using the protocol window below. The onset and duration of any of the 4 different outputs are specified in the text entry boxes. Each stimulus can be turned on up to 50 times during a trial. Here, the sound is turned on for three 30-sec epochs, at the end of which the shock comes on for 5 seconds. The light controlled by stimulus 3 is on for the whole trial. Not shown here is the option to play any of 10 different sounds during a trial, each with own amplitude, frequency, and type (tone or white noise).
